PR, Media Relations, technology, part time, London
Our SME client is a technology business headquartered in London with offices in Europe and America. They are seeking a Head of PR and Media Relations to join the team on a part time basis 2-3 days a week.
The role will develop a corporate PR plan/strategy which supports the business goals and individual brand propositions working closely with the Commercial Director and CEO. The role will manage and write press releases, news stories and articles distributing as appropriate to targeted media. Collating, analysing and evaluating media coverage and liaising with clients and the media daily building strong relationships will be key to this role. The Head of PR and Media Relations will monitor the media for opportunities and attend and promote client events to the media.
The successful candidate will have extensive PR and media relations experience and a strong media network. He/she must have experience within the technology sector, ideally with a fast growing business. Experience of leading and delivering media campaigns with good organisational and planning skills is paramount. He/she will be a self-starter and be able to work independently in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact across the business is important as is the ability to forge new, effective media relationships. Good commercial awareness and experience of working in companies going through growth and/or change is desirable.
