Business development, PR Agency, SW London, part time
Our client is a PR agency based in South West London and they are seeking a Business Development Manager to join the team on a part time basis 3 days a week. This is a new exciting role for the business.
The role will be office based as they would like someone to really integrate within the business and team and work collaboratively.
This is not a phone bashing role but more consultative and collaborative. The role will involve researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets for the agency and profiling decision makers to understand their needs. The Business Development Manager will contact decision makers and potential clients to set up meetings. The role will also oversee new marketing initiatives, attending conferences and events. The Business Development Manager will be knowledgeable about the market and market trends, competitors communicating any new initiatives or ideas within the team.
Candidates’ are likely to have a background in marketing with strong presentation skills and a proven track record of business development in B2B. Ideally candidates will have worked for an agency and will understand the client/agency dynamic. He/she may have been an Account Manager previously but will have been involved in new business development. He/she will be open-minded about discussing business development tactics and promotional activity. He/she will be an enthusiastic communicator able to converse with CEO level directors and decision makers as well as across the broader team.
