Our client in the charity sector is seeking an HR Manager to head up the function. Reporting to the CEO this role will lead the HR function and work with senior managers to drive a people strategy that can support our ambitious growth plans and is aligned with the overall company strategy. This needs to be balanced with being able to provide advice and support to line managers and remain operationally “hands on”.
The role is a full generalist remit and will cover all areas of HR. There is an HR officer reporting into this role.
Candidates will be experienced HR professionals with experience of HR Management, processes and procedures including experience of leading grievance and disciplinary processes, developing HR systems and processes and leading staff recruitment processes. Candidates will have knowledge of HR legislation and best practice and be experienced in advising on employment law issues and source information externally where required. Experience of staff management / team leadership is required as is experience of leading on Culture Change projects. Candidates should ideally have experience working in the charity sector and previous experience of budget management.
