A full service events group specialising in event planning, production and design has a new opportunity for a Finance Director to oversee all business areas. Working with the senior management team, you will be required to provide advice and guidance to drive strategic decision making, maximising the long-term performance of the business as well as adding rigour and direction to the company.
Specifics include:
- Accountability for the performance and management of the Finance team
- Providing high quality end to end finance service to the company
- Contributing to strategic decision making, bringing financial expertise and business intelligence
- Overseeing the production of monthly management accounting and reporting
- Producing accurate budgets and forecasts
- Delivering and managing annual financial plan
- Ensuring financial processes are operating efficiently
- Provision of statutory accounts, year-end processes and tax practices across all companies
- Managing oversees currency exchange transactions ensuring all relevant VAT regulations are understood
- Building relationships with key colleagues across the business
- Chairing monthly board meetings
About you:
- Qualified Accountant
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Contract management and negotiation skills
- Reporting and presentation skills at board level
- SME experience
- M&A experience preferable
- Exits experience preferable
- Creative/music/events industry experience would be advantageous
This is an exciting role where you will be expected to get involved at hands-on operational level as well as overseeing the strategy of the company's finances. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the founders to really make a difference and guide the business.
Flexibility: 3 days per week in the office
Location: Hertfordshire
Pay: Circa £90,000 FTE
